Well I guess it’s about time to get started and “blog”! I want to thank Jesus for saving my soul and being the Lord of my life! For those of you who know me, I’m sure you’ll agree, man I’m a blessed man! Wonderful and Beautiful Christian Wife and mother of our 8 children, 2 grandchildren and another one on the way, good health, nice home great job, etc. BUT, it wasn’t always this way, I was raised in church, awesome christian parents in which dad is still pastoring, man i was as lost as lost gets. I was very selfish with my love and time, I only wanted what was best for ME! My wife accepted Christ about 16 years ago and that was cool, she was taking the kids to church, and I even went with her every couple of weeks, (with a cooler full of cold beer in the trunk, of course). It took me realizing that I wasn’t really in control, and that I was LOST, wow I’m Derl Curry, I don’t need any help! Wrong, Jesus came to my rescue and my life changed that cold Monday night, January 25th 1994. I accepted the Lord in my living room floor with my wife and kids kneeling with me. I couldn’t wait to call my parents and our Pastor, I believe they undestood what I was trying to say even though I couldn’t talk because of the tears of joy. I’ve learned to be a Man, a Husband, a Dad, a Christian, a Brother, etc. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not perfect and really spread myself to thin trying to be everything to everyone, but with God’s help and the help of our Pastor, my fami;ly, and my church family, I’m pressing towards that PRIZE! And by the way, it’s nothing here in this life!

 I hope to share with you again soon, please pray that God will use me and my family, “To whom much is given, much is expected”
